FAQs

Feel free to email us, comment on our posts, or message us regarding any questions you have or would like answered! Below we have answered a couple questions that we have been asked.

Q:Why do you like to travel so much?

A:We travel for many reasons. It is a passion that we share. We love seeing new places and meeting new people. It pushes us out of our comfort zones. It helps us to appreciate all the good and positive things going on in the world. We grow closer when we travel. We learn more about ourselves and about each other. It is the only thing we buy, that makes us richer. Quite honestly, it simply comes down to the fact that it makes us happy.

Q:How are you able to afford travel as a newlywed couple?

A:Oh we get this question far too often. We could spend hours and pages going into detail about what we do to afford travel but it comes down to several main points. The first thing is we are able to afford travel because we make it a priority. We value traveling and so we don't make it an option to not afford it. We simply make it happen. Another thing is sacrifice. If you want to travel you have to make sacrifices. We lived with family for the first few months of our marriage in order to travel to Europe for a month. We worked many hours and multiple jobs in order to go on road trips. Will we ever have a huge mansion? Possibly, but if our choice is to have a huge nice house with lots of toys, or to have a decent and good enough house and be able to travel... you better bet we will choose the second option. Another main factor in being able to afford travel is work. Getting time off is hard. Luckily both Daniel and I are health and wellness coaches through Beachbody. This provides us with the opportunity to control our own schedule, travel when we want, and make money while doing so. If you want to know more about coaching for Beachbody or if you are interested, please email us.

Q:How do you choose your next destination?

A:It really just depends. We chose to go to Europe because Daniel wanted me (Julisa) to see where he grew up in Scotland. We then made a tour of it because Daniel served his mission in Paris and we figured why not just spend a month going everywhere that we could. We chose to go to California because we have family there and also our good friends were getting married there. We chose to go to Canada because I have no idea why, just being spontaneous I guess. And we chose our next destination for this December because of a great deal on flights. So really, the answer is varied.

Q:Will you stop traveling when you start having children?

A:Absolutely not. We are just getting started with our traveling adventures. As mentioned in a previous answer, traveling is a priority to us. Because we value it, traveling will always be a part of our lives in one way or another. It might be more difficult to travel with children but we look forward to the challenge as we feel that it is important for our children to experience the world.
